WORKSOP endedended a run of three straight defeats to beat ten-man Shildon.
In the opening minutes, James Baxendale and Steven McDonnell forced Shaun Newbrook into two early saves before Adam Watson made a strong challenge to deny Daniel Moore.
The best chance of the first half fell to McDonnell, who beat Aiden Heywood to Cody Cromack’s ball into the area, but he poked his shot poorly wide of the far post.
