■ BISHOP’S STORTFORD made it 11 games unbeaten with this Trophy thrashing of Leiston.
Frankie Merrifield netted two headers in the first nine minutes, both provided by Jonny Giles’ brilliant left-foot. and denied himself an early hat-trick by missing a penalty.
Adam Mills pulled one back on 20 minutes, with a brilliant curling effort from 20 yards But Stortford’s Darren Foxley stabbed home on 53 minutes, after a goalmouth scramble following a corner.
