AN 87th-minute Rob Apter penalty sent Bamber Bridge top of the Northern Premier League Premier Division with victory over Basford United at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium.
Apter had the first clear-cut opening of the match for Brig on 12 minutes, sending his curling effort narrowly over the bar from the edge of the box.
Six minutes later, Sheldon Green then beat his man on the left flank before forcing a good save out of Basford stopper Adam Collin from a tight angle.
Collin was called into action again shortly before half-time to get his fingert...
