Dan double sees off rueful Rocks

DAN TRENDALL’S first-half double gave Bowers all three points from this battle between two sides hovering above the drop zone, although the visitors had to play the closing moments a man down.
East Thurrock’s Alex Hernandez whistled a fifth-minute free-kick past the post with Bowers custodian Mitchell Beeney soundly beaten.
Johnny Ashman fired Calum Robinson’s teasing cross just wide, and then combined well with Jake Gordon, who screwed his shot over with only Beeney to beat.
