LANCASTER bounced back from a heavy defeat at Warrington to win a hardfought game.
Rhys Turner twice had opportunities early on, firing over from a Liam Brockbank cross and then drilling a shot across goal.
Lancaster almost went ahead after 23 minutes when Brockbank’s shot was parried by Jordan Pierrepoint and Sam Bailey’s follow-up shot was blocked by Ryan Wilson.
Another run, this time from Turner took him into the area before playing in Christian Sloan, whose shot was blocked by Dominic Roma.
