■ CLITHEROE emerged victorious after a fullblooded encounter in deteriorating conditions.
The home side dominated early on and deservedly took the lead after 35 minutes when Cole Lonsdale received a short free kick and curled the ball in.
Ben McKenna increased the lead on 46 minutes as a quick flick from Ross Dent was deftly steered home.
Prescot pulled one back five minutes later from a lofted free kick and had their best spell of the game.
However, Clitheroe finally found their stride and Sefton Gonzales thumped a superb shot in at pace.
