NABIL Shariff netted twice in a gloriously high-scoring ninegoal thriller as St Ives maintained their good run.
One defeat in five has seen the Saints edge away from the drop zone, but they endured a late scare against gritty opponents who, at various points, trailed 0-3 and 1-4, but clawed a way back into the contest to be 4-3 down five minutes from time.
Barwell have now suffered three home losses on the trot and the early omens were not good as they fell two behind inside 25 minutes.
