RAVEN’S CAUSED A STORM

MARINE say they have reported Warrington Town to the Northern Premier League and the FA’s Integrity department after fans’ favourite David Raven switched allegiances.
In a strongly worded statement, the NPL West Mariners say Raven –a contracted player – recently expressed his desire to leave the club and join Warrington as assistant to manager Mark Beesley.
Marine battled in vain to keep Raven at the club but he refused and subsequently retired from playing.
The statement read: “David is still a contracted player up until the end of the current season.”
