VETERAN goalkeeper Jonathan Hedge has left Sheffield FC, the NPL East club have announced.

Hedge, 33, joined Club from Gainsborough Trinity, having also featured in the upper echelons of Non-League for the likes of Harrogate Town, FC Halifax Town, Tamworth, Cambridge United, Southport, Grimsby Town and AFC Telford United.

The club said on social media: “It’s with a heavy heart we announce that Jonathan Hedge will be leaving the club.

“Hedge has been a reliable keeper between the sticks and has racked up 66 appearances over the last three years.

“Good luck Hedgy on your next challenge.”
