GREAT Wakering Rovers have appointed East Thurrock United legend John Coventry as their new manager.
Coventry spent 18 years at the Rocks during which time he won promotion to National League South.
He stood down at the end of the 2019-20 season and has been working as a coach at Aveley since April last year.
Coventry takes over from interim boss Glenn Robson, who had been in charge since Stephen Butterworth’s dismissal in October.
“We look forward to the breadth of experience John will bring to the club over the coming seasons,” Great Wakering said.
