IAN LONG is just happy to see Alvechurch punching above their weight again.
Long’s side are eight games unbeaten – with six wins and two draws – and sit fourth in the Southern League Premier Central table.
It’s a return to the promotion conversation after the Church finished in the playoff places in 2018-19 under Long.
After a brief spell at Stourbridge, Long returned to Alvechurch in February 2020 with the club embroiled in a relegation battle.
