NEWPORT (IOW) face a new year battle to continue playing at their current home ground.
The Wessex Division One club have been served with an eviction notice by landlords Ryde Saints, who have given them 30 days to quit the Smallbrook Stadium, where they have been groundsharing this season.
Newport currently pay a match fee to both Ryde Saints and Island Speedway, the principal leaseholders at the stadium.
But a dispute has erupted after Newport failed to undertake a £4,700 upgrade of the floodlights as part of the original groundshare agreement.
