Linesman brightened up our day

ON a cold drab misty afternoon in Cheshunt, more suited to quaffing a Romanian red than watching FC Romania v Aylesbury United, it was warming to see a linesman (not lino, that’s a floor covering or an outdated printing process) freely exchanging banter with fans last Sunday.
The exchanges were as they should be – good natured and without the nastiness that often accompanies games these days. Well done to everyone present.
