■ DUNSTON started 2022 in fine style with an impressive win at home to high-flying Marske United.
Goals from debutant Michael Fowler and substitute Jack Elliott brought an end to Dunston’s five-game losing streak.
In a highly contested encounter, the hosts had the woodwork to thank in the first half, Craig Gott rattling an upright with a rasping free-kick as the sides went in level at half-time.
