■ AN early goal followed by a defensive display from Worksop Town saw them take the spoils in this local derby.
The visitors hit a post with a cross as early as the sixth then took the lead a minute later when Alex Starcenko crossed for Liam Hardy to tap in.
Worksop keeper Seb Malkowski flapped at a Tyler Williams free-kick but made amends as he palmed Nyle Blake’s volley over the bar.
The second half started in a similarly tight manner until just before the hour when Vaughan Redford hit a post from a narrow angle for Worksop.
