■ SHEFFIELD FC rarely looked back after a flying start to the New Year.
The hosts made a dream start after four minutes, when Nathan Modest beat a high offside line, lofting the ball over Josh Wilson in the Lincoln goal.
The visitors went close early in the second half, with Jake Park’s header hitting the top of the bar but Lincoln were reduced to ten men on the hour as Owen Sheriff was shown a red card for hauling down Sam Ackroyd.
