TAUNTON extended their unbeaten run to eight matches with this narrow win at the Avenue Stadium.
A pinpoint 18th-minute cross from Zachary Smith enabled Jared Lewington to head home the only goal of the game.
The Peacocks survived a fiery six minutes of second-half stoppage time during which a yellow card and two red cards were brandished at the Taunton bench.
Manager Rob Dray was one of those sent off by referee Niall Clinton who was alerted by his assistant to dissent from the dugout.
