■ A FIGHTBACK from Lancing saw them recover from two goals down to spoil Ashford’s party at the Homelands Stadium. The deadlock was broken when Steventon played it to the feet of Lockyer on the edge of the box. He held it up before setting up Kwayie.
His effort was saved but spilled into the path of May to tap in. Then, May returned the favour, slipping Kwayie in to lift over the oncoming goalkeeper.
Lancing were given a route back into the game when Rye smashed in a half-volley on the cusp of half-time.
