SOUTHEND Manor are pushing ahead on two fronts.
On the field, former Welling Town and Hullbridge assistant manager James Wakeling has been appointed as first-team boss, replacing Ryan Gordon who left the Essex Senior outfit by mutual consent before Christmas.
He will be assisted by Ryan Frost, who was previously with Tilbury and Hullbridge Sports.
First team coach Callum Bolger will stay in position.
Off the field, the 67-year-old club have begun essential improvements to its Southchurch Park Arena home in order to avoid relegation for not meeting ground-grading standards.
