THE huge Clitheroe crowd were treated to an excellent victory despite Mossley pressing hard for an equaliser at the death.
Clitheroe dominated the first half, with Max Cane opening the scoring with a lofted shot over the keeper.
He then doubled it after 25 minutes when he stooped to head in a closerange chance from a Sefton Gonzales cross.
Richie Baker went agonisingly close with a volley, but it was Mossley who were denied by the bar from a corner as the clock ticked down.
