■ IT was a war of attrition in a first half with little in the way of clear-cut chances, with Dunston captain Craig Scott coming closest to opening the scoring with a goal-bound header after 20 minutes, only to be denied by stern clearance.
The flow to the game was stop-start in a scrappy opening 45.
The visitors took an early lead in the second half, with Richard Coulson scoring his first for the club after 48. Picked out by Phil Turnbull’s long-range pass, he calmly finished.
In-form striker Michael Fowler put Dunston two up 10 minutes late...
