■ THE game started very slowly with no chances for either side. The first clear-cut chance came after half an hour when Willie Clemons went one-on-one with the visitors keeper, but a save denied the opener.
However, ten minutes later, Clemons made up for his mistake and headed home a back-post cross to give the hosts a deserved lead. Stowmarket started stronger second half and enjoyed the majority of the ball, but struggled to create any big chances.
