■THE two sides played out a draw which had plenty of effort, but was low on quantity.
In a dull first half, Witham’s best attack took place in the 18th minute when Ramiah Mills broke away. His cross found Adam Cheniti, whose shot was deflected for a corner. After a scramble the ball was cleared. Ayo Olukoga shot wide twice for Witham.
Ahmed Mohammed was then sent off for Basildon for a challenge on Ben Search.
