Linney sparks fine fightback

AT a windswept Meres the early encounters were even. FC United of Manchester began to press and the Grantham keeper was called into action on 13 minutes at his near post. Grantham took the lead a minute later.
The ball was headed back and Sane Clarke volleyed home from outside the box. FC United forced a number of corners but could not break through. They went close on 24 minutes, but Grantham cleared after a goalmouth scramble.
