NUNEATON nudged a step closer to safety by securing a third straight clean sheet against runaway leaders Banbury.
The scoreline did not reflect the action as both teams hit the woodwork and forced fine saves but Boro bagged another shutout having failed to stop opponents from scoring in back-to-back games previously this season.
Banbury had the better openings in a scruffy start but the hosts had the first clear chance, captain Scott McManus grazing the bar in the 20th minute.
