MERTHYR Town collected their first point of 2022, but must have left for Wales ruing their failure to survive the last 14 minutes against ten men. Had they done so, the Martyrs would have won for the first time since October 16.
Adam Liddle’s third dismissal of the season left Walton depleted and on the brink of embarrassment, but the Stags rallied to gain a point that was well deserved on the evidence of all that had gone before.
