■ CITY of Liverpool fell to defeat against Marine after a fiery contest. The first half saw the Purps dominate with Jack Hazlehurst and James Edgar threatening from long range.
The game came to life in the second 45 when James Barrigan hit a finish past Ollie Martin to put Marine ahead.
The Purps equalised when Jack Hazlehurst trapped Edgar’s free-kick brilliantly, danced past a couple of defenders and fired home low.
