■ IN-FORM Burgess Hill defeated Whitehawk to continue a fine run of results that has seen them lost just two in 18. It was a slow start to the first half with few chances for either team, but Martyn Box made it three goals in three games when he headed home in the 45th minute.
The second half continued in a similar vein with action and chances at a premium. Whitehawk huffed and puffed but, despite their best efforts, were unable to break down Tommy Reid’s defence.
