■ WESTFIELD recorded a much-needed win on home soil – their first since October.
After an even start the home side got on top as the half wore on and took a deserved lead in the 32nd minute when new signing Salhin Abubakar was fed by Samir Bajja before driving into the box and firing into the top corner.
Bajja was again in the thick of the action firing over as keeper Callum Stanton struggled in the conditions.
