■ WHITEHAWK were twice pegged back by Corinthian as both sides settled for a point on a freezing day.
Things were all positive for the hosts as Alex Malins slid in from close-range to force his side in front.
But the lead was short-lived as Jack Mahoney glanced a header in at the near post.
It was an opening half of thrills but frustrating for the Hawks who, after pulling ahead through Alex Laing, were again denied on the brink of half-time by a Jack Bath header as corners proved to be Whitehawk’s achilles heel.
