SOUTHALL reached the last eight of the FA Vase with a gritty victory over plucky Step 6 side Stansfeld at Short Lane.
The Combined Counties Premier North side needed a tense penalty shoot-out to achieve it – the fourth consecutive time that they had been taken to dreaded spot-kicks in this competition.
But they had to rely on another man-of-the-match display from spot-kick expert goaklkeeper Berkley Laurencin in order to delight the chairman.
