WITTON Albion may have landed a late knockout blow on Ashton in midweek but they barely landed a glove on their opponents in this game.
Stalybridge have now won on their past three visits to Wincham and the margin of victory might have been wider.
The timing of their goals, one either side of the interval, sapped the hosts’ spirits.
Stephen Brogan, who came off the bench to rescue a point against Gainsborough on Tuesday, curled a perfectly-placed free-kick out of goalkeeper Greg Hall’s reach in the moments before the break.
