Billy Greulich-Smith went close for the home side with a diving header saved well by Edd Hall.
United’s best chance of the half fell to Ify Ofoegbu who struck wide after good play by George Green.
Charlie Wood saw a well-struck effort saved by Shaun Newbrook in the second half while the impressive Hall was called into action on a couple of occasions.
