■ RUNCORN Linnets defeated Market Drayton Town thanks to goals from Joe Lynch and Iwan Murray.
In what was a relatively routine afternoon’s work, the visitors took the lead from the spot with five minutes to go before half-time. Taking responsibility, Lynch stepped up and found the net to give his side the lead.
The game was then wrapped up in the 49th minute. This time, it was Murray with the goal. Two goals either side of the break killed Drayton Town’s chances of mounting a comeback, and thinking about securing the points against all odds...
