BARKING failed to get the Friday feeling as Basildon walked away with the points.
The visitors’ first real chance came after half an hour when Nathan Fuma’s cross was turned goalwards by Declan Nche, but the effort was blocked by team-mate Steven Sardina blocks.
Basildon finally went in front on the stroke of halftime when Daniel McCullock’s cross was headed in by Fahad Nyanja.
Basildon had the game wrapped up with two further goals early in the second half.
