BILLINGHAM Synthonia have been saved from the brink of extinction – by a dentist practice.
The Northern League Division Two side launched an SOS appeal for £10,000 to see out this season after their main backer suddenly pulled out.
And their calls were answered by Billingham-based Queensway Dental, who tepped in with a similar sponsorship deal.
Dr Ian Lane, a partner at Queensway Dental, said: “Billingham Synthonia are a well-respected club at the heart of our community and we are delighted to be able to help keep the club alive.”
