GRANTHAM overcame Morpeth at a windswept Meres.
Dan Lowson in the Morpeth goal saved from Elliott Durrell on 12 minutes but could do nothing a minute later when the same player’s shot took a deflection to put Grantham one up.
The game exploded in the 25th minute following a confrontation involving several players. Morpeth’s Michael Turner and Grantham’s Jonathan Wafula were shown red cards.
