WESTON dominated the game, but could not find the final touch as Poole were able to cling on and ride their luck.
Scott Laird headed a Dayle Grubb free-kick over the bar to start with, before Jordan Bastin pounced on a Declan Rose mistake inside the box and fed Sonny Cox, but the 17-year-old striker’s shot was tamely into the hands of Will Butler.
Bastin was next to go close with Cox the provider this time, the winger’s shot across goal just narrowly past the far post.
