■ FRICKLEY took the points in this competitive clash but they were pushed all the way by the home side.
Joshua Scott’s 44th-minute penalty gave Frickley the lead just before half-time.
It took until the 89th minute for Frickley to grab their second as Leon Mettam doubled the away side’s lead.
Pickering could only grab a consolation goal as Nathan Whitehead turned into his own net in the 90th minute to make it 2-1.
Pickering will be disappointed with the afternoon’s work, having left it late to pick up a consolation.
