■ BEN POPE took the headlines thanks to a hat-trick as Hastings cruised to victory. Corinthian made a bright start but were unable to create any real problems for Hastings keeper Louis Rogers.
The home side went in front in the ninth minute when Knory Scott squared a beautiful ball into the box for Pope to finish at the second attempt.
Pope doubled the score in the 31st minute when a perfectly timed cross from Danny Parish allowed him to fire home from six yards.
