■ THIS local derby ended in a deserved victory for the visitors.
The first opportunity for Ashford came in the 14th minute when Hythe keeper Henry Newcombe saved superbly from a flying header by Luke Hudson.
Ashford took the lead in the 21st minute when they were awarded a free-kick on the edge of the area.
Former Cannon Frankie Collin curled his effort into the top right-hand corner.
It was 2-0 after 37 minutes when a cross from Tashi-Jay Kwayie found Luke Burdon who headed home. Kwayie’s header hit the bar in the 55th minute before Hythe pulle...
