On this week’s edition of NL Full Time, our special guest is Marc White, the man who was masterminded the rise of Dorking Wanderers; the current leaders of National League South began as a group of friends who paid their subs each week to play, but they not stand on the brink of non-league’s top flight.
Marc spoke candidly about the obstacles the club has overcome and also shares some forthright views on plenty of other issues impacting the Vanarama National League. He also reviewed events in the South and the National League this weekend with us, casting his eye over the results.

However, the content doesn’t end there!
Rob, Chris, Dickie and host Luke had much to discuss, as always, and Rob was at the EBB Stadium to see leaders Stockport County continue their seemingly unstoppable progress towards promotion, as they faced Aldershot Town. Rob spoke with County manager Dave Challinor, and his ominous message for the rest of the division was: “We’re still a work in progress”.
The chasing pack aren’t giving up, though, although most lost a little ground yesterday, either through being inactive or being unable to register victories.
There was another managerial change this week, as Woking dispensed with the services of Alan Dowson, and Marc particularly had some words of sympathy for ‘Dowse’, as well as a call for some perspective from some Cards fans.
The team and Marc discuss Dover Athletic’s season of misery, and there was praise for Boreham Wood after the National League’s last representatives bowed out of the Emirates FA Cup in a 5th round defeat at Everton in midweek.
Dickie reviewed the National League North, where leaders Gateshead proved to be a formidable barrier for the Harriers, and where AFC Fylde lost patience with manager Jim Bentley after a midweek home defeat to in-form York City.
Finally, the news of the squad announcement for England C’s meeting with Wales in Caernarfon later this month has launched much debate; Paul Fairclough has selected a squad jam-packed with talent, almost a National League all-star team, but has anyone been overlooked? The team share some thoughts.
