ISAAC Tshipamaba-Mulowayi lifted Wingate & Finchley further away from relegation when his second-half double saw off their Sussex visitors.
The victory extended Wingate’s unbeaten home run in 2022 to seven games, even though it was their first win in March.
And it takes the Blues up into 16th place, one point and two places behind Horsham, having played a game more.
Wingate keeper Ben Goode’s 13th minute point-blank save denied the Hornets Charlie Hester-Cook in the only real action during a cagey half.
