AN early goal was enough for Colne to see off Ramsbottom United.
The Reds went in front whenwhen Hakan Burton’s long punt upfield sent Danny Edwards clear and he found the net with a shot through the keeper’s legs after five minutes.
Chances were few and far between as both sides struggled to control the ball in the strong wind.
But Rammy came close on the half-hour when Godwin Abadaki was denied as Burton blocked his close range shot.
And Burton did well to save Jason Carey’s shot on the turn after 67 minutes....
