■ MAX Cane fired a hattrick as Clitheroe put their recent form behind them with a thumping win over City of Liverpool.
As early as the sixth minute, Sefton Gonzales nodded in a huge Lee Pugh throw before Cane added another four minutes later from a Pugh cross.
City of Liverpool came out in the second half keen to make amends, but ran into a very slick attacking machine.
