■ CHALFONT’S struggles at the foot of the table continued with yet another narrow defeat.
There was little in the way of chances in the first period, and the main talking point was when the visiting goalkeeper Muhammed Otuyo grabbed hold of Ditu around the throat following a disagreement.
To the surprise of almost everyone, the referee decided to issue a yellow card to both players. The second half saw the Saints with the majority of possession, but the final ball was lacking.
