■PHOENIX and Hythe shared the points in a nervy encounter at the Mayplace Ground.
The best chance of a dull first half went the way of the hosts with Luke Leppard getting on the end of a Toib Adeyemi pull-back, only to see his header superbly saved by Henry Newcombe.
Just before the break, Nico Cotton hit a post for the visitors. Phoenix grew in the second half and should have took the lead when Roberto Ratti raced through. Newcombe narrowed the angle well and put in a fine block.
