Chris Smalling

Chris Smalling was widely criticised by Manchester United fans and opponents alike during his spell at Old Trafford. More than 200 matches in the premier league were played by an athlete who started his career within football in the non-league category. While at Maidstone United, Smalling was quickly seen by Fulham, and after playing for a couple years with Craven Cottage, Manchester United’s Sir Alex brought him to Old Trafford. Before transferring to Fulham, Smalling was a two-time Premier League winner with Manchester United and a 31-cap member of the England national team. After spending the season for 2019/20 at Roma on loan, the Italian club decided to make him a permanent member of the squad.

Joe Hart

Joe Hart has won two Premier League titles, four Premier League Golden Glove medals, 75 England caps, and 71 appearances in Europe throughout his career in football. Shrewsbury Town, where he appeared in two games during the 2003/04 season, also used the shot-stopper. Hart joined the Manchester City revolution after leaving Shrewsbury Town’s junior system for about £600,000. After being released by Burnley, he joined Tottenham as a backup for Hugo Lloris.

Troy Deeney

When the Hornets were still taking part in the Premier League, there wasn’t a single player who enjoyed playing with Troy Deeney. Troy Deeney is said to have been found by Mick Halsall while playing for Chelmsley Town’s youth squad when he was only 15 years old. Chelmsley’s coach paid for Deeney’s transportation to the trial after he was pushed out of bed and his son was taking part, however Deeney netted seven screamers in an 11-4 victory and was instantly granted a trial with the squad who was currently in the League Two.

Antonio Michail

At the age of 17, Michail Antonio made his professional debut with Tooting and Mitcham United in the London Football League. Antonio gradually improved his skills and, after scoring 19 goals in 54 games for Nottingham Forest, signed for West Ham United for about £7 million in 2015. Although he has yet to be capped for England, Antonio has been called up to the national team several times since his days at Southampton, where he is shown above. In West Ham’s 4-0 thumping of Norwich City in July 2020, he became the first player in the club’s league history to score four goals in a game since David Cross did so against Tottenham in September 1981.
