POOLE’S strong recent home form was undone by play-off chasing Yate in a fairly uninspiring game.
After a couple of half chances for either side, Yate took the lead after 11 minutes from a lovely through ball to an unmarked Ricardo Rees who calmly finished in the far corner.
The striker should have doubled Yate’s lead when Will Tunnicliff’s shot was palmed by the keeper straight to Rees but he blasted over from a couple of feet out.
