■ PICKERING pulled off a stunning win at the Home of Football, achieving the double over fellow strugglers Sheffield FC.
After a dull opening where neither side threatened, the Pikes went into the lead 10 minutes before the break, following a half cleared throw-in that was swept home by Brandon Holdsworth. The lead was doubled minutes into the second half, when forward Moses Abioye curled a beautiful effort into the top corner from the edge of the area.
